Our candlesticks and chandeliers, like lonely buildings, harbour cranes or sea lighthouses, wander the sea, land, or vast space, carrying the light of warmth and hope into a bright and prosperous future, and finally invading our lives and our own space. When you look at the candlestick there is an irresistible desire to identify it with something or someone else, getting the effect of a half-living and constantly transforming character. Objects have accents and hints, make the viewer think about the image, thus making the object more dynamic. Objects do not carry a specific image (for example, animals or plants), but at the same time, they are not faceless. They have minimal, sometimes even primitive signalling elements, which make us enliven them and identify with something or someone else. This project is characterized by minimalism and asceticism, function and simplicity. Each candlestick is made of GFRC concrete, terrazzo and hand-made ash wood. Bubbles, pores, and other changes in texture and color are part of the manufacturing process. As a result, we get a candlestick with a unique surface, unique color pattern and texture.
