RUSSIAN STATE AWARD "ORDER OF KUTUZOV" The Order of Kutuzov is the state award of the Russian Federation. The Order of Kutuzov was established in the USSR in 1942. After the collapse of the USSR, the order was preserved in the system of state awards of the Russian Federation by the Decree of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation of March 20, 1992 No. 2557-I, but as a state award of the Russian Federation did not have a statute and official description until 2010. Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of September 7, 2010 No. 1099 “On Measures to Improve the State Award System of the Russian Federation” established the statute and description of the order. In January 2013 and April 2015, changes were made to the statute of the order, according to which, in addition to military personnel, the order was awarded to associations and military units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other troops and agencies, and higher military educational institutions.
