The brooch is recreated from the sketch of the portrait of Beatrice d'Este duchess of Bari and Milan from the late 15th century in the smallest detail. This historical figure is a great woman who managed to make Milan one of the greatest capitals of the European Renaissance. Beatrice d'Este was the patroness of the arts and fashion of medieval Italy - and this brooch was made by a jeweler for her special order. In the portrait, a brooch adorns the headdress of a noble lady. But it can also be worn as a pendant, or attached to a dress. The brooch is decorated with pearls and colored glass reminiscent of precious stones. On the top of this brooch there are eyelet for a pin.
